Moises named Armin van Buuren and Laidback Luke the first members of its Artist Partnerships program on September 2. On August 27, LALAL.AI shipped an Andromeda update with a combined Guitars stem and a rebuilt Piano model.

Moises says Artist Partners advise on product strategy and help develop features for their own disciplines, with more artists across more genres to follow over the next year. The histories fit: van Buuren co-founded Armada Music and hosts A State of Trance, and Laidback Luke runs Mixmash Records and has spent years supporting emerging producers, including Avicii and Afrojack.

A seat in the product conversation is not a test result. Neither has published a hands-on verdict on the tools, and advising a roadmap is not endorsing features nobody has heard yet.

What the guitar fix admits

Until Andromeda, LALAL.AI split guitars into separate Acoustic and Electric stems, which meant the model had to classify the part before pulling it out. When it changed its mind partway through a track, LALAL.AI says a single performance came out spread across two files, each thinner than the part you wanted. The combined Guitars stem removes the decision. The company puts that at roughly 20% fewer of its worst failures, parts split apart or dumped into the residual channel, in its own internal testing.

The tradeoff is published too. A combined stem will not separate an acoustic strum from a distorted lead, so the older dedicated stems stay available. Piano works the same way: the rebuilt model goes after bleed in dense passages, where sustain rings into everything around it, and the previous generation stays selectable so you can A/B by ear. A complete part beats a correctly labeled one, because a stem with a hole in it falls apart the second you put new drums under it.

Moises frames its suite as a musician-controlled layer rather than prompt-to-song generation, and says its models train only on licensed and authorized content, which lands on the exact question the Munich court left producers with when it ruled against Suno. It is Moises' own claim, unaudited from outside.
