A wide-angle Montreal festival

Osheaga has operated since 2006 as a music and arts festival with a deliberately broad programme. Rock, pop, hip-hop and electronic artists share Parc Jean-Drapeau, so the experience is shaped by movement between audiences and stages rather than loyalty to one scene.

Electronic music in the larger picture

The 2026 edition ran from July 31 to August 2. For dance-music listeners, Osheaga is most useful as a crossover festival: electronic live acts and producers can occupy prominent slots without the weekend becoming an EDM event. The island setting, Montreal crowd and three-day scale give those bookings a different context from a specialist club or electronic festival.
