A festival inside the forest
Fuji Rock uses Naeba Ski Resort as more than a scenic backdrop. Stages of different sizes sit through the forest, and the journey between them can include a riverbank, food area, workshop or long stretch of mountain air. The site lets a very large festival keep moments of calm.
Range without losing identity
Rock may sit in the name, but electronic music and global sounds have long been part of the programme. That breadth works because nature, food and shared movement tie the pieces together. You can chase major performances or build a slower route through smaller stages, and both approaches still feel like Fuji Rock.
