D.O.D Made an Album. You've Already Heard Three of It.

D.O.D has a debut album coming. Everything, Briefly is out 16 October on Armada Music, eleven tracks, and a chunk of it is already in your library.

Three titles are confirmed on the album's Spotify pre-release page: "Closure" with Hayley May, "Careful" with Izzy Bizu, and "Feel For You" with niina. All three are out now. "Closure" has been in rotation since early May, three months ahead of the announcement.

Which makes "debut" a strange word for what this is. D.O.D has spent years working in standalone vocal house singles, and he says all eleven tracks were made this year. Everything, Briefly collects twelve months, not a career.

He puts the theme in terms of memory: "Music you love, because there's memory woven through." The record, he says, is "a love letter to those moments. Those unplanned, unexpected, unforgettable moments." He describes the range as running from "energy, euphoria, and dancefloor butterflies" to "peace, and calm."

The casting is dance-circuit deep. Izzy Bizu has fronted tracks for Kungs and David Guetta on "All Night Long" and for Joel Corry and Galantis on "Stay A Little Longer". Hayley May has a long run of house features behind her. niina is the newer name of the three.

DJVibe had D.O.D on an Electric Zoo afterparty bill at Pacha NYC in 2014, playing alongside Fedde Le Grand and Danny Avila. Twelve years to a first album is not slow in a scene that made the single the unit of work.
