South London is the centre

GALA is not a touring format dropped into a convenient park. Its identity comes from South London and the people working there, with local artists, collectives and community relationships helping to shape how the three-day festival feels.

Soul before spectacle

The music reaches across club culture's past, present and future, but the common thread is warmth. House, disco and adjacent sounds work best here as a shared language rather than a procession of oversized moments. Peckham Rye keeps the scale grounded and gives each day the feel of a large neighbourhood gathering.
