Small enough to participate
Future Forest caps its audience around 2,000, keeping a four-day programme of electronic music and immersive art at a human scale. Three stages carry the sound, while performance, workshops, yoga and installations appear throughout the forest rather than inside a separate arts zone.
Deep in the woods
The site is a 200-acre woodlot east of Fredericton with rustic camping and no reliable cell service. The 2026 edition ran August 6 to 10. That off-grid setting changes the pace: people arrive prepared to camp, contribute and stay present. Future Forest's independent structure and limited capacity make it feel less like a spectacle delivered to an audience and more like a temporary creative community.
