The docklands do the framing
DGTL Amsterdam uses NDSM Docklands as a strong visual and physical setting. Industrial structures and open waterfront space give its stages room to scale, while installations interrupt the route and turn movement around the site into part of the experience.
Production with a second purpose
The festival places art, innovation and sustainability beside its electronic programme rather than treating them as background language. That gives the production a practical question to answer: how can a large dance event create impact in the room while reducing it outside the gates? The tension is part of DGTL's identity.
