House music across the island

Defected Malta is designed as a takeover rather than a single fenced site. Outdoor club shows form the centre, while pool and boat parties let the programme move through different parts of the island without leaving Defected's house-music world.

The label becomes the community

The festival draws on the wider Defected family of artists, labels and dancers. That shared language makes it easy to move between classic house, disco and newer club sounds without the weekend feeling scattered. Malta supplies the setting, but the crowd supplies the continuity.
