It's been around for ages so maybe there's no use in posting a review but I just recently acquired it and since I think this is one of those timeless tracks that will always make a crowd shriek in delight I'm going for it. Yeah!
There isn't one thing wrong in Washing Up (Tiga Remix). Between the chummy techno beat and incessant repetition of that wonderful tinny acid tune (that just gets better and better) it's a total winner. But then add the wooden sound that is so amicable and that major build-up that just blossoms half-way and you can't deny that it truly was this hit's summer.
But then there's more. That guy that's getting kneed in the stomach. And later on his panting. Who is he? Actually, the better question is who is this Tomas Andersson who knew that a guy getting hit on a random down-beat would be the perfect accentuation to this most wonderful work of art? Who?
And then there's the label with the janitor mopping up, Walkman in his smock's pocket. Perfect.
The only difference I could pick out between the original and Tiga remix is that the original has a more reverberating bass and the wooden detail is a substitute for something more mechanic and fast. I prefer the Tiga remix because it's happier. Happy is good.
