THE GARY DOUGLAS BAND is one of those bands that bring the fire, and the proof is on their second studio album KEEPIN’ FAITH. A diverse mix of classic rock, Americana, country and blues, KEEPIN’ FAITH was released digitallyon October 9. The first single, “To Be With You,” has been added to over 20 U.S. radio stations in two weeks (see list below). On the live front, vocalist, songwriter and guitar player GARY DOUGLAS and his band–featuring guitarist Jeremy Goldsmith, keyboardist Scott Chasolen, bassist Dan Asher, drummer Stefano Baldasseroni, horn player Nick Biello and backup vocalists Yula Beeri and Clara Lofaro–have added three special New York City performances. On Wednesday, December 9 the group will perform a headlining show at the Red Lion (151 Bleecker Street, New York, NY 10012), then on Wednesday, January 13 they’ll join Willie Nile, Dramarama, The Weeklings with Max Weinberg and Joe D’Urso & Stone Caravan at The Cutting Room (44 E. 32nd St, NY, NY 10010) for the Light Of Day Foundation benefit concert. The Light of Day Foundation, Inc. is renowned worldwide for utilizing the power of music to raise money and awareness to defeat Parkinson’s disease and related illnesses such as PSP and ALS within our lifetime. Next-up, on Saturday, January 23 the group will perform a headlining show at The Bowery Electric (327 Bowery, NY, NY 10003).

Produced by Anthony Resta (Elton John, Needtobreathe, Collective Soul, Guster, Perry Farrell, Nuno Bettencourt, Shawn Mullins, Sara Evans), KEEPIN’ FAITH is a varied 12-song affair with such highlights as “My Desire,” “Midnight Angel (Part One),” “Cold Blood,” “Goodbye Marie,” “Stop Bringing Me Down” and the aforementioned new single “To Be With You.” To GARY, Anthony’s creative input in the studio was critical.”If I sing it one way, but he knows I’m wrong, he has a great way of getting you to see the light,” DOUGLAS explains. “And I would go, Yeah!
