RYAN CABRERA unveiled the music video for his new single “House On Fire” this morning (2/2) exclusively with Nylon.com; check it out here. “House On Fire” is the first song off the platinum-selling singer, songwriter and musician’s long-awaited new EP WAKE UP BEAUTIFUL, due out Tuesday, March 3 via Dynamite Music/Caroline and available for pre-order beginning tomorrow (2/3) here. The upbeat, feel-good track is available now on iTunes and currently impacting national radio, climbing the Hot AC charts with airplay at New York’s 95.5 PLJ, SiriusXM Hits 1 and more.
RYAN shot the music video for “House On Fire” with acclaimed video director Christian Lamb (Madonna, Borgore, Tori Amos). The video–which features surprise cameos from Efren Ramirez (Napoleon Dynamite), Dennis Haskins (“Saved By The Bell”) and Shannon Tweed–was shot in Los Angeles and up along the picturesque California coast, perfectly capturing the song’s carefree, live-in-the-moment spirit.

“It’s organic pop music,” says CABRERA of WAKE UP BEAUTIFUL. “[Producer] Justin Gray and I hit it off immediately. We were in a room together, jamming on everything. We weren’t trying to be anything or fit any kind of mold. It was just music we dug. I started writing all of these fun, positive, and uplifting songs. My whole perception had changed. Every song tells its own story.”
“‘House On Fire’ is about burning everything down and being crazy while you can,” RYAN explains. “You’re living in the moment and enjoying everything you do. A lot of people are afraid to let themselves go, be passionate, and express their feelings. You’ve got to burn it all down—even if just for one night. Let loose and go nutty! It feels great.”
The song is a perfect blend of the sound his fans have come to love from RYAN, while also pushing forward to a new, mature sound. His knack for writing infectious and emotive songs remains strong, and “House On Fire” has garnered early support from fans and media. Jenny Lee of Nylon.com wrote, “‘House on Fire’ is undeniably catchy and heavily percussive, with hints of synth that build up excitingly into the chorus. The Dallas-native is looking forward to getting out on the road to perform the new music in front of live crowds. RYAN will co-headline the “Radio Revival Tour” with Secondhand Serenade. The run kicks off March 12 in Sacramento, CA and includes shows in San Francisco and Anaheim before making a stop at The Annex in Austin on March 18 for a daytime performance during the SXSW music festival. CABRERA will then continue on to Atlanta, Orlando, and Greensboro, reaching New York’s Gramercy Theatre on March 31. Other major market shows include Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Grand Rapids, St. Paul, and Salt Lake City, with more dates to be announced.
