Alternative pop rockers PARADISE FEARS have unveiled a new music video for their current single “Back To Life”; watch the video now here. “Back To Life” is the latest track to be released off the band’s forthcoming full-length album LIFE IN REAL TIME, due out December 4 on DigSin Records. A sampling of the 12 new songs can be heard here now.
Of the new single “Back To Life,” lead singer/songwriter Sam Miller explains “It’s an energetic youthful anthem. It made me realize when I was younger I was able to do a lot of things I’m not capable of anymore. I don’t take the risks I used to. As a result, a lot of relationships have suffered for it. You can’t be dangerously cynical about adventurous romance.”
Originating in a small town in South Dakota, and without the help of management or label support, PARADISE FEARS built a remarkably widespread and loyal following, with hundreds of thousands of fans subscribed online and millions of streams on Spotify and YouTube (nearly 12 million views). Their impressive touring and online audiences serve as a testament to the band’s tireless ethic and complete control of their own creative process.
As a thank you for the steadfast support, and to celebrate the album release, the five-piece recently announced that they will host private fan concerts across the country on their personal tour bus in the hometowns of a few select winners. “We often write in first person,” Sam shares of their inspiration. “It’s intended to be personal, and the author is the character the lyrics are about. The songs are little snapshots of experience. People can translate these stories to their own lives and viewpoints and interpret them personally.”
This vivid, rather cinematic, storytelling drives Life In Real Time. Written all over the country from a rental home in Minneapolis to a dressing room in New Hampshire, these songs echo the experiences and events the band lived through in the past two years.
PARADISE FEARS—Sam Miller (vocals), Cole Andre (vocals, rhythm guitar, samples, mandolin), Jordan Merrigan (lead guitar, trumpet), Michael Walker (keys, vocals) and Marcus Sand (bass)–released their independent debut Yours Truly in 2011, followed by 2013’s “8-song mini-album” Battle Scars and the 2014 single “Who We Were With,” which has garnered nearly 5 million streams and counting. Along the way, they have supported the likes of Parachute, The Cab and most recently Andy Grammer and Alex & Sierra on a cross-country trek at the beginning of 2015.
