No. 19 Music Presents Social Experiment Detroit at Leland City Club
Featuring Art Department (Extended Set), Eric Volta & Nitin
In celebration of No. 19 Music’s 5 Year Anniversary, the label will host a special edition of Social Experiment in Detroit on Sunday, May 25 at Leland City Club. The stacked roster will feature Art Department, composed of Kenny Glasgow and No. 19 Music label owner Jonny White, alongside No. 19 Music label co-owner Nitin and Berlin-based Eric Volta who recently released his stunning ‘Blood Burgundy’ EP on No. 19 Music.
The label’s ‘5 Years of No. 19 Music’ compilation (now available for purchase via Beatport) was met with critical acclaim and dubbed as Mixmag’s May ‘Compilation of the Month’ with tracks by Art Department, Louie Fresco, Nitin, Aquarius Heaven, Oskar Offermann, Maher Daniel, Jakkin Rabbit, Clayton Steele, Lauren Lane, John Lee and Jade. “No. 19 has achieved more than most in its five-year existence. Most imprints would kill to have a back catalogue as strong as No. 19. It’s produced forward thinking electronic house that has carved out its own niche within the saturated house market,” Mixmag says.
One of the hallmark tracks on the album is “Nasty Boys” featuring DOP by Aquarius Heaven whos new music video has a “psychedelic softcore vibe [that] is fitting for a track that pairs languid 808 rhythms with hallucinatory rap verses and alien R&B croons,” according to THUMP. Watch it here.
As No. 19 Music continues to carve its own unique path through the underground after making stops in cities and festivals worldwide including Brooklyn, Moog Festival, and Barcelona, join the label as they celebrate five years of quality music in Detroit.
