Miss Behavin... is one of the hottest DJ on the current dance scene. Since her 2001 residency at Ibiza super club Es Paradis & her recent signing to Tidy Two Records her career has rocketed. She is now a official member of the TIDY GIRLS alongside Lisa Lashes, Lisa Pin Up & Anne Savage.
Miss Behavin is known on the scene for her Uplifting & Euphoric Feel Good sets! She took that feel good vibe into the studio with her and produced the massive club anthem Such a Good Feeling which reached 65 in the nationals & went straight into the UK dance chart at number 6! With support from DJs across the globe & on Radio 1 FM. Its appeared on several high profile compilations including Extreme Euphoria (Mixed by Lisa Lashes) & Hard Dance Anthems (Nukleuz). Her next track will be out later this year on Tidy Two Records!
Its been a while since I talked to you last what have you been up to?
Loads, its been a really good year with loads of changes....
The last time I saw you play live. You played it hard and heavy.. Have things changed?
Yes definitely, although Im still playing on the harder tip, Ive gone more down the trance route... Lets say....Uplifting & Euphoric with a hard edge!! When I first
started DJing I used to play Trance, but when I signed to Tidy a few years back.. I supposed I was pigeon holed as a hard house dj, this year musically Ive followed my heart back to the trancey sounds!
Whats the word on Tidy Trax? Things going well?
Yes all good thanks, Im now signed to Tidys Hard Trance label (Tidy Two), Had Such a Good Feelin out Jan 03, which was a massive success, and Im currently working with Guyver on my next release, which will be out next year. very exciting!
Hows Ibiza these days? Still rockin?
Ibiza isnt as busy as it has been, but believe me its still ROCKIN!
Whats the craziest thing that youve done or thats happened to you in the last year?
one funny thing that springs to mind was when I played a UK festival in August on the hottest day of the year... all my records started to curl up like fruit bowls from the heat, it was really funny!! Had to stick them in the oven a few days later to soften them so I could bend them all back again!!
Craziest/Best gig?
Ive has some fantastic gigs over the years, but the craziest ones always seem to be in Ibiza!!
Whats your favourite show on Radio 1?
To be honest I never really listen to the radio much, Im always listening to CD demos from the girls on Flipside.
I noticed a similarity about all the DJs on Flipside. Is there a rigorous screening process when you pick the talent?
Yes Female DJs Only!! ....Talented, down to earth female djs that are passionate about their music!!
How is Flipside doing? I have check the site and noticed that the DJ roster has been changing a lot. Why is that?
The club scene has changed over the last few years, door prices are coming down and some promoters dont want to pay Big Name DJ prices, so we are focusing now more on the Up & Coming names. Weve launched a new online directory femaledjs.com, which has been a great success. Plus many new things up our sleeve for 2004!
Any more Canadian dates planned? We miss ya here.
Hope so I absolutely love Canada!! My best mate is moving over summer 2004, so sure Ill be over at some point to play a few gigs and pay her a visit!
Whats your favourite food? Can you cook?
Im a pretty bad cook to be honest!! So I always seem to order takeaways when I have friends over!! Love Thai food!!
