Saturday, 18th August marked KU DE TA’s 10th annual world famous White Party. Doors opened at 7pm as white decked guests came in like waves. A splendid 4-course dinner prepared by the talented KU DE TA kitchen was accompanied by the young Russian violinist German Dmitriev and songstress Kate Gillespie who took centre stage for some soulful numbers.
By 10 the venue was ready for real partying as KU DE TA favorite Jim Breese [Rising Music] returned to the island to start the party. Toolroom’s D.Ramirez brought his signature sound from midnight bringing thousands to the breaking point. Grammy award winner Sharam [Yoshitoshi] took to the decks for a mind-blowing closing to KU DE TA’s summer festivities
Just the week before, at the epic Bikini Day party, gorgeous guests dressed down to soak up sun and melodies. Capoeiristas displayed the Brazilian sport at the entrance, samba dancers graced the grounds full of color, feathers and glitter, and Electric Strut dancers took to the centre stage as guests bronzed and danced to the finest DJ collection this side of paradise.
Carnival opened with KU DE TA’s own BtK to set the mood and as the day progressed, so did the music. Oliver $ [Made to Play] brought his unique style of house music to get the guests grooved up. Alex Kenji [Hotfingers] rocked it with his techno-oriented tunes as throngs of beauties danced through a colorful sunset. The famed Defected Records’ duo Junior Jack & Kid Crème closed the night with their rolling house beats.
For over a decade KU DE TA has held the best extravaganzas the world has ever seen.
This year even the Bali sun was at its best behavior for KU DE TA’s flag bearing annual summer parties. Renowned heavyweight DJs utilized the new Funktion-One sound system and provided a smooth, crisp world class sound to over 4,000 guests from all over the world
With only 3 more weeks of KU DE TA’s ‘Summer of Love’ sessions to complete the holidays; this is the best summer KU DE TA has seen. See you next year!
