IRATION has announced new headlining U.S. tour dates for this spring. The “Hotting Up Tour 2016” will kick off March 30 with support from Hirie, The Expanders and Amp Live (on select dates). Tickets go on sale Friday (2/5) at 10am local time. Following back-to-back headline shows in Santa Cruz, CA next week (2/10 and 2/11), their co-headlining tour with fellow Hawaiians Pepper–dubbed the “Hawaiian Punch Winter Tour 2016”–will launch Friday, February 12. The reggae-influenced alternative rock band is touring in support of their latest full-length album HOTTING UP, released last year. The album’s current single “867” has been steadily climbing up the Mediabase and Nielsen BDS Alternative Rock radio airplay charts. Stations with heavy rotation include 91X in San Diego, CA, KRZQ in Reno, NV, KRXP in Colorado Springs, CO, WRMR in Wilmington, NC, KPOI in Honolulu, HI and KJEE in their hometown of Santa Barbara, CA. 2015 was a landmark year for IRATION—Micah Pueschel (lead vocals/guitar), Adam Taylor (bass), Joseph Dickens (drums), Cayson Peterson (keyboard/synth), Micah Brown (guitar/vocals) and Joseph King (engineer). Beyond the album release and their successful 28-date “Hotting Up Tour” in the fall, the Hawaiian-bred, Santa Barbara-based group had an impressive summer burning up the festival scene with performances at Outside Lands, Hangout, Riot Fest Denver, SunFest, Big Guava, Blaze N Glory, Cali Roots and many more.
Of their performance at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, the Santa Barbara Independent wrote: “The audience echoed Pueschel’s every word, and the sense of overwhelming love, peace and fun filled the space. Pair this with the updated melodies and synths of Iration, and the classic evolved into a more rocking version of itself…Iration lived up to their reputation of constantly carrying that casual, surfer vibe. Even after all these years, they still play as if they were jamming in a neighbor’s garage with all their closest friends.
