Gatecrasher has announced plans to completely reinvent itself, becoming a venue and lifestyle club brand, rather simply a club night. First up, the venue September 2 will see Gatecrashers Sheffield home, the Republic, renamed Gatecrasher One. The newly named venue will have had 1.5 million spent on it, transforming it into what Gatecrasher is calling the forerunner and blueprint of clubbing for the future. This will involve colour changing acrylic walls, deep carved virgin timbers, fibreglass sculptural seating, resin floors and architectural planting. Whats more, the areas will morph and alter during the evenings, breaking the space into functional zones. There will also be massage chairs, an oxygen room, and a personalized table/lounge waiting drinks service. On the musical front, there will be a different musical theme for every night. The traditional trance-indental Gatecrasher nights will now be known as Crasher, and will just be one strand amongst many, including disco, hip hop, fusions, house, electroclash, garage, R N B etc.
