Fatboy Slim's Big Beach Boutique gig has been nominated for Muzik magazine's Best Event award, despite problems when it was held last month.
Two hundred thousand people turned up to the free party in Brighton, but because the council had only expected 60,000, it became overcrowded.
Emergency services had trouble getting through the crowds and a number of people were injured in the crush. It also turned into a nightmare for people trying to get home afterwards.
The event received some bad press after it was reported that one man died of a heart attack at the event and a girl died after falling off the promenade. It later turned out that she fell several hours after the gig finished.
The future of the Big Beach Boutique was called in to question despite the crowds and the local council loving it.
