Fat Boy Slim has finally come to a conclusion concerning Big Beach Boutique. Seeing as last years event ended being very chaotic and he believes that there is too much at risk and, therefore, will not do a similar party in 2003. In an interview done by the magazine This is Brighton, he stated. The more I think about it, the more I think it could have been another Hillsborough. If we'd had a crush situation, I would have had a nervous breakdown. In the same article he also goes on to say that the emotional strain he felt due to Karen Manders death was very intense (ultimately he was not held accountable for her death). If such an incident were to be repeated he would be overcome with grief and guilt. Moreover, Fat Boy Slim would like to be a permanent resident in Brighton and, hence, does not want to establish himself as a citizen of poor and questionable character. There have been rumors of him hosting Big Beach Boutique on beaches across the world but they are false.



As well, Fat Boy has been going through some marital difficulties as of late. He and Zoe Ball announced last weekend that they would be separating. They stated that one would be living in Brighton and the other in North London as they attempt to sort their problems. The pairs son, Woody, will be taken care of Zoe. Cook said that since the announcement the couple has been inundated by the press. He also denied rumors that he's been suffering from depression or has been in rehab.
