Well, I only found out about the thing like 2 days before it happened, but I am glad I did. Deep Dish are definitely worth seeing. Thanks to Benson and Hedges for another fine edition to the Big DJ, Small Club series. Although I wont smoke your cigarettes, I will go to see big name DJ/Producers like Deep Dish for free! Yah, thats right there was no cover, all you had to do was get your ass down to Shine in Gastown, Vancouver.

I arrived late, and Deep Dish was already sticking it to the crowd. They were going more with their deeper roots, and the crowd couldnt get enough of it. They were all just screaming their heads off at these guys. "Deep Dish!", "You rock!", "Oh my god!" etc etc. I wondered how those guys could concentrate on anything with all that going on. When they said Big DJ Small club they sure emphasized "small" club by holding it at Shine. Although it did provide a nice intimate vibe, it was also like 4000 degrees in there! Man, 5 minutes after pulling my camera out it had fogged up and became useless. But I did manage to get get one shot off that was alright. But anyway, Deep Dish rocked it and I managed to snake my way into an interview with them; so I came away pretty happy. Although I did have to pay 10 bucks for a friggin cab since the busses stop at 1:30 now.. It was all worth it.
