Jon Carter, Sister Bliss, Tim Deluxe, Kosheen, and Dirty Vegas will all be performing at a charity gala April 10th to raise funds for Warchild.
War Child UK is an international relief and development agency dedicated to providing immediate, effective and sustainable aid to children affected by war in order to build peace, resolve conflict and empower future generations. Warchild tries very hard to affect all sorts of places affected by war, whether thats the Balkans, Rwanda, Afghanistan or Iraq, said Emma, one of the organizers of the event, on BBC Radio 1.
In light of the aggression against Iraq Emma added thats she delighted with the fact that for the first time in thirty years there are people on the streets protesting. The youth of today has often been labeled a generation of apathetic consumers with no passion about any political subject but it is now apparent that this is a misconception.
The streets have been packed with young people and students expressing their opinions and I think thats fantastic.
