The scene was looking sort of gloomy for a while there but the last 2 shows I've went to have been totally off the wall! First there was the Urban Takeover tour @ Lime on Thursaday Oct. 25. The word on the street is that the show sold out or came pretty damn close. The music was awsome thanks to the efforts of Mulder, Jungle Soldier, Mickey Finn, and uhh oh ya did I mention Aphrodite... That man can make a dancefloor happen! And when the night was over there was a standing ovation for the guy. When's the last time you saw that? The people wouldn't leave, they all wanted more of Aphrodite. The boucers had to practically hit the clubbers with a broom to get them out the door.
As for Spooky, can you say MASSIVE? Spooky quite simply rocked it! Good turnout (it takes a few people to fill the colliseum), good people, good music, and a shit load of fun! I ran into Deliverance on the street monday and he said "I looked out at the crowd on the main stage at about 4 in the morning. Shit man, I thought I was in LA!" I can't disagree with him there. I was pretty amazed myself. Hopefully the pics will do it justice. But I will be posting some stuff from Spooky and Lime soon including pics, video, and some interviews as well. I would be interested in hearing about other peoples experiences. So send em' on in!
