Apollonia at The BPM Festival 2014, New ‘Ometeo’ EP + NYE 2014 / Worldwide Tour Dates

Apollonia, the label and DJ super collective composed of Dan Ghenacia, Dyed Soundorom, and Shonky, is gearing up for their forthcoming showcase on the pristine shores of Playa del Carmen, Mexico at  The BPM Festival 2014. On January 8, the group will host their dedicated label night at Fusion Beach Club alongside special guest, Julian Perez. Resident Advisor notes, “The French trio have been blazing a trail around the globe of late, delivering their infectious brand of groove-driven house to many of the world’s best known clubs. There’s no pretence about Apollonia, just straight-up house with a groove that locks you in and doesn’t let go.”

Rising from the ashes of Freak n’ Chic at the beginning of 2012, the troop endeavored to build a platform for their shared musical vision. Ghenacia is set to deliver the label’s latest ‘Ometeo’ EP on January 10, including a remix of the original from fellow Apollonia cohort, Dyed Soundorom. The forthcoming “Ometeo,” sees a gradual-building track featuring futuristic, electronic manipulations on Ghenacia’s mix, meanwhile Dyed Soundorom’s rework incorporates an outbreak of claps and clicks overlaid with snippets of female vocals. For over a year, the threesome has toured the globe playing back2back2back sets at world-class venues including Fabric, Panorama Bar, and DC10.
