Karla Blum – A fresh Voice in Berlin’s Techno Underground

Berlin-born and raised, Karla Blum represents a fresh wave of techno artists emerging from the city’s ever-evolving underground. Shaped by the contrast between Berlin’s chaotic streets and the euphoric unity of the dancefloor, her music reflects a deep emotional drive – raw, hypnotic, and relentlessly energetic.

Karla made her DJ debut in 2022 at the legendary Ritter Butzke, and quickly began turning heads with her powerful sets and distinct sound. Within a short time, she has performed at some of Germany’s most respected venues and festivals, including Bootshaus Cologne, SonneMondSterne and Parookaville Festival.

Her productions strike a balance between groove and intensity, often combining rolling basslines, acid elements, and sharp minimal rhythms. Releases like “Transmission” on Eli Brown’s Arcane Music, “Bad Bitch” on Umek’s 1605, and EPs on Senso Sounds and Set About have earned her recognition from both the underground scene and established names.

In 2024, Karla launched her own imprint, BLUM BERLIN, giving her full creative control and creating a space for like-minded artists. With upcoming releases and a packed tour calendar, she’s building a name not just as a DJ or producer, but as a storyteller and curator of immersive sonic journeys.
